Features
A time-tested design and iconic look make the Leer 40CS-R290 51″ outdoor ice merchandiser perfect for selling bagged ice.
This Leer 40CS-R290 outdoor cold wall ice merchandiser is an excellent choice for convenience stores, beer distributors, supermarkets, or any business that sells bagged ice! With plenty of smart design features and an iconic, easily recognizable design, this unit lets customers know that you’ve got plenty of the ice they need available for purchase! It accommodates up to (100) 10 lb. bags of ice to keep your business well-stocked for any need.
Cold Wall System for Maximum Capacity
This merchandiser uses a cold wall refrigeration system with R290 refrigerant. Compared to an auto-defrost unit, it has a simpler design with fewer moving parts and a slightly larger capacity. However, a defrost cycle must be run manually to remove excess ice buildup, and typically these units will recover slower than an auto-defrost unit if the doors are opened frequently. Cold wall units also don’t drip condensate constantly like an auto-defrost unit, only when the defrost cycle is run.
Outdoor Installation
This unit is designed to be installed outdoors and features a solid door design and a rain shield that work together to protect your ice from the elements.
Max-Life Gasket
The gasket is made from durable Santoprene, which provides superior durability over other gasket materials. This gives you better temperature retention for longer.
Dependable, Iconic Design
The steel cabinet uses water-tight, offset seams for optimal strength and a 2-part acrylic polyurethane coating for better resistance to corrosion, adhesion, and humidity. It also provides it with a smooth, mid-range gloss finish. And since it comes with Leer’s iconic snow-capped “ICE” signage, you can be sure that customers will take notice!
Superior Temperature Control
2 1/2” thick insulation on the ceiling and walls and 3” thick insulation on the floor provide maximum temperature retention. This helps to keep your ice frozen and ready for purchase, while also reducing the strain on the refrigeration system for more efficient operation. And thanks to its electronic control system, you can easily monitor the unit and make changes as necessary.
